Heather and Richard Mullin offer you a warm welcome at this stunning location a mile and a half above Sawdon village on the edge of Troutsdale and near Dalby Forest. Guests staying in our luxury self catering cottages can walk or cycle straight out into miles of tracks and footpaths.

We have 3 acres of landscaped gardens with a box parterre, herbaceous borders, lawns, and seating areas. Our gardens have won Gold Awards in Yorkshire in Bloom and Gold in Scarborough in Bloom four years running.

We have a wealth of bird life, guests enjoy seeing the acrobatic swallows plus birds such as  goldfinches and woodpeckers on the bird feeders.

We have created a viewing platform complete with pod summer house to take advantage of the beautiful view of the Vale of Pickering whatever the weather.  We have dark skies so the stars can be stunning.

Parents be aware there are two large ponds on site. Children enjoy spotting wee beasties in the wildlife pond and watching the koi.

There is a separate laundry area and secure storage for bikes. Amber Cottage is wheelchair friendly with easy wheelchair access.

There is Wi Fi in the cottages but mobile reception can be erratic especially because the stone walls of the barns are very thick.

We are on top of a hill so sunsets and rainbows can be spectacular.  We have our own Bronze Age Burial Mound.

Guests may bring a well behaved dog to either Jade Cottage or Topaz Cottage, this area is perfect for dog walking.
