An incredibly enjoyable stay. Just the most beautiful gardens & surroundings. You couldn't ask for any more from the cottage. Spent the week exploring the local area and going to see the sea. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We have loved staying at Basin Howe, a lovely spot with convenient access to Scarborough as well as the moors. D...'s research into the life & achievements of his great-grand-father brought us here, where we have made new friends. Many of the places William & Ellen knew have become real places for us. And we visited Whitby and the Captain Cook connection too! Thank you Richard & Heather.

This has been an ideal restful holiday break, with surprising sunny weather. Had some lovely days out and would really recommend the Anvil in Sawdon for excellent food. Thank you for making it a Home from Home.

We have been to the North York Moors before, always at Easter, but I think this has been our favourite visit so far. This is a brilliant location surrounded by beautiful forests and amazing bike tracks. Not to mention it being a 15 minute drive from the sea. We have never been short of things to do and I have loved every second of it.

We've had a wonderful few days in this cottage. Everything is here that you need to make it a relaxing stay. Our teenagers even put down their gadgets to play chess every evening! Thank you.

We returned for another holiday with the family following our super summer holiday here. Once again the hospitality from Heather and Richard was superb, the cottage was immaculate and the gardens were still in great condition despite the time of year. it was a delight to be here again and it was a great base for visiting many attractions in the East of North Yorkshire. Many thanks again!
