Each year we ask guests to donate £1 to the RSPB for every load they tumble dry. Basin Howe Farm is a great place for bird watching and this seems the right charity to support. Our little collection boxes have raised £55.00 this year. Thank you everybody.

Proud to say that the Quality in Tourism Inspector confirmed our 4 Star Gold rating for the 2016 season. He said "Great care and attention to detail goes into the dressing of the rooms in order to provide a most welcoming and homely feel. Commendable." and "Quality well managed self catering accommodations set in an idyllic and peaceful location."

We are delighted to have won another Award this time a Gold in the Scarborough in Bloom Muck & Magic Competition for 2015. We are taking bookings for 2016 so come and enjoy this lovely setting and spectacular area.

We are very proud to have been awarded Gold and overall category winner in the Yorkshire in Bloom competition for 2015. The Judges said " Basin Howe Farm Cottages consists of 4 stunning barn conversions set in beautiful, well tended gardens. Looking from the gardens across neighbouring farmland there are extensive views towards Dalby Forest together with some delightful scenery." About the gardens they said "Of particular note was the sympathetically restored parterre - truly magnificent. The fragrant rose garden was a delight to the senses and the sight of the fern garden in dappled shade was sheer joy!"

With such a recommendation why not come here for a holiday and see for yourselves in 2016.

We had a fabulous sunset at Basin Howe last night. We are high on a ridge above the Wolds and so we enjoy amazing sunsets and starry skies.

Wi Fi is now provided in all our cottages. We now have Wi Fi thanks to a new mast on the other side of the Wolds however, you can still come to Basin Howe Farm, switch off all your devices and relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
